Apex Systems, a world-class technology solutions provider, is seeking applicants for the below position on behalf of our client. Position: Field Service Technician II Location: 100% on-site in Taylor, MI Schedule: M-F; 9AM-6PM Estimated Duration: The client approximates that this project will be a 3-6 month contract to hire. However, there is no guarantee of employment for any length of time. Pay Rate Range: $18-20/hr. +mileage reimbursement (Apex Systems offers weekly pay)

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:

• Travel to client locations to install, maintain, and repair IT systems, including servers, networks, and peripheral devices. Candidates will be driving around 20-60 miles per day.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on-site.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on the use of IT systems.
• Perform network setup and configuration, ensuring full connectivity of desktop and other networked peripherals.
• Maintain detailed records of service requests, work performed, and client interactions.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve complex issues and improve service delivery.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of overall experience
• Top 2 skills: Hardware repair hands-on (printers, PCs, POS, etc.) break fix, and familiar with ticketing systems.
• This role requires extensive driving, efficient routing, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules
• Must be self-motivated.
• Works well independently as well as within a team.
• A+ certification is a plus
