The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to complete installations and troubleshoot automated foundry equipment. This position requires a deep understanding of automation, including PLC programming and troubleshooting. The engineer will travel nationally and internationally for 60% of the year, with projects typically lasting up to a week. A strong grasp of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLCs is essential. Additionally, the engineer must maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

This position involves extensive travel, with 60% of time spent on the road, or up to 80% for remote workers outside Michigan. When not traveling, responsibilities include online troubleshooting, documentation, and computer work. The role provides exposure to highly automated manufacturing equipment, 10 paid holidays, and 2 weeks of PTO. After 6 months, access to Udemy for professional development is provided. The candidate will receive per diem, a company credit card, and mileage reimbursement if using their own vehicle.
Pay and Benefits:
