Field Service Engineer - Remote Eligible

Field Service Engineer

This role requires a strong understanding of aftermarket business models, including parts sales, service agreements, upgrades, and retrofits. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of vacuum furnaces, heat treatment, and industrial equipment. Additionally, proficiency with PLC and automation systems is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and maintain vacuum furnaces, heat treatment, and other industrial equipment.
• Implement and support PLC and automation systems.
• Engage in parts sales and service agreements.
• Manage upgrades and retrofits for various industrial equipment.
• Travel to Italy for training and maintenance calls.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
• Experience in PLC troubleshooting and automation.
• 5+ years of sales experience in aftermarket, service, or capital equipment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in related industries such as vacuum furnaces and heat treatment.

Work Environment:

This position is fully remote, with travel required to Italy for training lasting two weeks and additional travel at least three times a year. Maintenance calls may require a week, while installations could extend to two or three weeks.

This is a Permanent position based out of Detroit, MI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr. PTO, Holiday, Dental, Health, Vision, 401K
