Engineering Coordinator

This role is an integral part of the mechanical design engineering team, providing essential support with documentation and process flow through the ERP system. The position involves managing sales orders submitted by the sales/estimating team, verifying product numbers and customer information, and ensuring accurate submission of work to the design/engineering team. The role also requires verifying the accuracy of bills of materials, drawings, and checking for product errors.

Responsibilities:

• Process jobs through the Engineering department.
• Find and print PDFs of drawings.
• Understand the ERP system and set up jobs accordingly.
• Recognize and correct errors in documentation or drawings.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in engineering change orders.
• Proficiency in documentation control and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with design documentation, bills of material, logistics, and data entry.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical documentation environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working within an ERP system.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Work Environment:

The position is office-based, working closely with a team of 4-5 engineers. The facility includes a manufacturing plant, which the coordinator will access as needed to track down information and ensure seamless operations.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Brighton, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
