An Educator of Patient Care Services works as an educator/practitioner within the Obstetrical and Neonatal areas of nursing. The Educator of Patient Care Services assists in the development, revision and implementation of policies, procedures and protocols associated with the nursing practice and serves as a clinical resource and consultant to the nursing staff in caring for Obstetrical adult and Neonatal patients.

Required: Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Michigan, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing obtained within 3 years, Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience with a minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery/Neonatal Nursing, BLS Required, AAP Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification required, with NRP Instructor certification within 6 months of hire, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring completion required, with EFM Instructor certification within 1 year of hire, National Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics or Electronic Fetal Monitoring required within 6 months of hire.
Preferred: ACLS Certification, ALSO Certification, STABLE Training, Master's Degree in Nursing
