Claims Resolution Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Kentwood area) Start Date: September 22 or September 29 Pay Rate: $17/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Work Arrangement: On-site for 6–8 weeks, then remote (based on performance)

What You'll Do

• Handle 30–50 inbound calls daily during designated phone hours
• Provide empathetic, professional support to customers and retail partners
• Review protection plans and technician reports to determine claim eligibility
• Process claims, negotiate settlements, and follow up to ensure satisfaction
• Collaborate with internal teams and escalate issues when needed

What You Bring

Must-Haves:

• 1+ year in a call center environment, especially with de-escalations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask using dual screens and Microsoft Office
• Negotiation skills and a customer-first mindset
• Reliable transportation for occasional on-site needs
• High-speed internet (Upload: 15+ Mbps, Download: 100+ Mbps) and a quiet home workspace

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in warranty or claims processing
• Bilingual skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
