General Summary And Purpose:
The CT Clinical Operations Coordinator performs the duties of the CT Technologist. The Coordinator is also responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of the CT Department, locally or system wide. The Coordinator works closely with Administrative and Physician leadership to maintain efficient and effective operations, insure quality and promote change. The CT Clinical Operations Coordinator can develop and maintain educational programs for the CT staff. The Coordinator provides supervision and direction to the staff. The Coordinator interacts and works collaboratively with other departments. The Coordinator is patient focused, seeking to provide excellent patient experience.
Skills, Knowledge, Education And Experience:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Advanced certification in CT Maintain Continuing Education credits (24 CEU in two period) and other requirements to maintain ARRT certification. Per State of Michigan regulations, 11 of the 24 CME must be CT-related and 2 of the 24 CME must be Radiation Safety-related Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Five years CT experience preferred Must have good working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy Must be proficient in venipuncture Must know methods to set up and operate CT equipment, with an emphasis on reduction in patient radiation dose (ALARA – As Low As Reasonably Achievable). Must be very conscientious and detail-oriented person with excellent communication skills and demonstrate excellent customer service skills to deal effectively with patients, and various levels of hospital personnel, outside customers, and community groups
