We are seeking experienced Controls Engineers to join a high-impact automation project at an automotive production plant in Dundee, MI. This opportunity is for engineers who will be responsible for commissioning, debugging, and optimizing Mitsubishi PLC/HMI systems. The role requires strong expertise in on-site troubleshooting and integration within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Commission, debug, and optimize Mitsubishi PLC/HMI systems.
• Perform on-site troubleshooting and integration in an automotive production setting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Apply expertise in industrial automation to enhance system performance.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Mitsubishi PLC/HMI programming.
• Commissioning and debugging expertise with Mitsubishi controllers.
• Experience in industrial automation within automotive environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with robotic integration (Fanuc, ABB).
• Experience with machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, Matrox).
• Basic understanding of controls hardware design using EPLAN or AutoCAD.
• Exposure to PLC platforms such as Siemens and Omron.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and safety standards.
• Experience with multi-camera vision systems and feasibility studies.

Work Environment:

The role is based on-site at the Stellantis Dundee Engine Plant. It is a collaborative, fast-paced, and hands-on work environment, supported by engineering leadership. Engineers are expected to work six days a week, with mileage reimbursement available for commuting. This project offers exposure to cutting-edge automation technologies and the opportunity to contribute to a mission-critical automotive initiative.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wixom, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
