Senior Quality Engineer - Medical Device
Our client is a manufacturer of metal machined components serving the medical device industry. Their product is used in critical devices and quality is at the forefront of everything they do. With their developed team, they are looking for a senior level quality engineer to lead both internal and external projects.
Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Handling day-to-day design, supplier, production, and customer quality issues related to production lines
- Resolving non-conformances in the production process by identifying the root cause and implementing solutions
- Assisting with internal audits to help the company maintain ISO 13485 compliance
- Leading internal IQ/OQ/PQ process
- Assisting with the application and monitoring of established inspection procedures and methods
- Leveraging data findings to implement improvements in the process
- Preparing documentation for customers and suppliers pertaining to quality standards
- Reviewing manufacturing instructions for completeness, correctness, and comprehension by assembly personnel
- Generating standards for suppliers and internal processes

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications include:
- 4+ years of quality engineering experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering or closely related field
- Understanding of Root Cause Analysis problem solving techniques
- Experience with the IQ/OQ/PQ process heavily preferred
- Strong understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience in Medical Device, Aerospace, or Automotive industries
