Senior Quality Engineer
Our client is a well-positioned company within their sector and very stable in their performance year over year. With facilities across the country, they are highly capable in serving all types of customers with a focus on quality and reliability. There are about 130 employees onsite at this facility near Glen Ellyn, and operate with new equipment, always looking for ways to improve product and process quality to best serve their customers.
Job Description
- Participate in enhancing the manufacturing process by conducting studies to identify issues, providing solutions or recommendations, and implementing corrective or preventive actions.
- Analyze defective products or processes to determine root causes and offer input on corrective and preventive measures to prevent future failures. Implement solutions to improve yield.
- Conduct internal and external audits on products and processes to ensure compliance with specifications. Review and approve various quality documents.
- Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and customers to drive improvement activities and ensure products and processes meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Lead quality and customer complaint investigations to resolve quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
- Support the qualification of new products, processes, or equipment through data collection and analysis.
- Assist in maintaining quality systems standards.

The Successful Applicant
- At least 3 years of experience in quality manufacturing
- Experience with ISO 9001
- Experience with working with customers
- Any IATF 16949 and/or silicone experience is a plus
