Personal Care Packaging Engineer

Lead end-to-end packaging development from concept through commercialization, including material selection, component design, validation, and supplier qualification. Partner closely with Brand, R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, Operations, and external suppliers to deliver packaging that supports brand equity, product integrity, and consumer safety. Serve as technical packaging lead on new product launches, line extensions, and packaging renovations, managing timelines, risks, and deliverables. Evaluate and implement packaging innovations focused on sustainability, cost optimization, manufacturability, and supply resilience. Develop and execute packaging test plans (performance, transit, stability, compatibility), ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional partners. Own packaging specifications, change control, and documentation, ensuring disciplined execution in a confidential, highly regulated environment. Support supplier relationships through technical reviews, audits, and ongoing performance management.

Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives. Clear verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. Ability to build relationships quickly and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
