Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Our client is an innovative, MIT-originated manufacturing company focused on advanced additive manufacturing and ceramic technologies. They support next-generation aerospace systems with high-performance, precision components while enabling sustainability improvements.
Job Description
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for ceramics
- Improve yield, reduce defects, and minimize cycle times
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Specify and maintain tooling and manufacturing equipment
- Create SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation
- Support new product introduction and process scale-up
- Partner with R&D, Quality, and Production teams
- Ensure compliance with QMS and aerospace standards
- Apply SPC and DOE methods for process improvements
- Maintain safe handling practices and conduct risk assessments
- Train production teams on process improvements

The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer should have:
- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5-8+ years in manufacturing or ceramics/composites
- Experience in high-throughput production environments
- Strong Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement skills
- Experience with SPC and DOE methodologies
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP) preferred
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
