Quality Engineer

Our client is a machining manufacturer based in the Souther Suburbs of Chicago, with a strong presence in precision components for various industrial applications. They are known for their commitment to quality and long-standing customer relationships. The position will focus on managing customer interactions, identifying and resolving root causes, overseeing all PPAPs, and supporting internal ISO audit processes.

Job responsibilities include overseeing the entire PPAP process, preparing and conducting internal ISO 9001 audits, working directly with customers to discuss reports and non-conformances, leading corrective actions through Root Cause Analysis methods, reading and interpreting blueprints, PFMEAs, and GD&T Experience.

The Successful Applicant

• 5+ years of experience in a quality manufacturing setting
• Background with automotive manufacturing and the standards associated
• Knowledge of ISO 9001
• Experience with leading or assisting with internal audits
• Strong experience with PPAPs
• Strong Root Cause and Corrective Action experience.
• Experience with PFMEA
• GD&T Experience
