Quality Engineer

Our client, a family-owned machining manufacturer based in Chicago's southern suburbs, has been serving leading automotive and agricultural customers-including Bosch and Case New Holland-for over 30 years. They are seeking a Quality Engineer to manage customer communications, lead root cause and corrective action initiatives, prepare and submit PPAPs, and support ISO internal audits. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the entire PPAP process
• Preparing and conducting internal ISO 9001 audits
• Working directly with customers to discuss reports and non-conformances
• Leading corrective actions through Root Cause Analysis methods
• Reading and interpreting blueprints
• PFMEAs

A successful quality assurance engineer will look like:

• 5+ years of experience in a quality manufacturing setting
• Background with automotive manufacturing and the standards associated
• Knowledge of ISO 9001
• Experience with leading or assisting with internal audits
• Strong experience with PPAPs
• Strong Root Cause and Corrective Action experience
• Experience with PFMEA
• GD&T Experience

What's on offer:

• Salary Range between $70,000 - $80,000
