Quality Engineer

Job Description
- Support quality improvement initiatives by reviewing nonconforming material and assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Act as a Voice of the Customer, reviewing concerns, questions, and quality issues
- Partner with engineering and operations to support new product launches and process improvements
- Assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and submittals
- Support Quality Inspectors to ensure products meet quality system and customer requirements
- Improve first-piece, in-process, and final inspection processes
- Maintain compliance with ISO / AS quality management systems
- Follow safety standards, 6S procedures, and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across quality and manufacturing

The Successful Applicant
- Associate degree or higher in a related technical field
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing quality environment
- Working knowledge of inspection methods, gaging, and basic quality tools
- Ability to read blueprints and understand inspection criteria
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities and support corrective actions
