Polymerization Process Engineer

You will lead the development and industrialization of solution polymerization process, transforming lab-scale discoveries into full-scale production. This position is based at a key U.S. manufacturing site with strategic importance to carbon fiber and high-performance materials production. They are providing relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

• Develop and scale polymer and dope processes from R&D through pilot and commercial implementation
• Design sustainable and efficient chemical manufacturing methods
• Lead technical development in capital and process improvement projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, operations, and R&D teams
• Maintain compliance with process safety standards and industry best practices
• Stay current with polymer science and apply new methods to ongoing development

• Ph.D. (preferred) or Master's in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in chemical process development, including industrial solution polymerization
• Strong understanding of polymer chemistry and structure-property relationships
• Proven success scaling R&D processes to commercial production
• Hands-on experience with pilot plant operations and cross-disciplinary teams
• Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., PSM, EH&S standards)
• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
