Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Analyze and enhance current manufacturing processes to improve quality and efficiency. Meet performance metrics related to safety, quality, cost, and productivity. Lead projects for new products and technologies, managing costs and vendor relationships. Gather and analyze factory data to identify areas for process improvement. Document and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and cycle times. Develop financial justifications for equipment and process changes. Address challenges related to people, processes, and equipment with strong problem-solving skills. Foster relationships with customers and vendors. Engage in fixture and tool design, along with some process engineering responsibilities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have: a strong background in precision machining and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software and other engineering tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A degree in engineering or a related field. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Experience with quoting, cost analysis, and technical evaluations. Proficient in reading engineering drawings, GD&T, and material specs. Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Microsoft Office proficiency; and ERP (Plex) a plus.
