Job Description

The CNC Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and will:

  • Program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC lathes with live tooling for complex aerospace and defense parts.
  • Design and fabricate custom fixtures and tooling to support precision manufacturing.
  • Create and maintain 2D process drawings, operation sheets, and tooling lists.
  • Develop and implement shop floor inspection methods to ensure quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and assist setup personnel with complex prototype and production parts.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with ITAR regulations and company policies.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team-oriented approach.

The Successful Applicant

A successful CNC Manufacturing Engineer should have:

  • Experience programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC lathes with live tooling.
  • Proficient with CAD/CAM software, preferably NX or similar.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and thorough understanding of GD&T.
  • Experience with metrology tools and part inspection processes.
  • Skilled in fixture design and tooling selection for precision manufacturing.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex setups.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ITAR regulations and compliance requirements.
