CNC Manufacturing Engineer

My client is a well-established and fast-growing precision CNC manufacturing company seeking a skilled professional to join its growing team. Job Description

The main responsibilities for the CNC Manufacturing Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC lathes, including those with live tooling.
  • Designing custom fixtures and tooling to support efficient manufacturing.
  • Defining and documenting complete manufacturing processes.
  • Creating detailed 2D process drawings, operation sheets, work instructions, tool lists, and inspection criteria.
  • Troubleshooting setup challenges and supporting the machining of both prototype and production components.

The Successful Applicant

The CNC Manufacturing Engineer should have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience. Proficient in current CAD/CAM software (NX preferred).
  • Strong background in machining complex, precision parts.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; deep understanding of GD&T.
  • Familiarity with metrology tools and inspection processes.
  • Experience editing and understanding G-code at the machine level.
  • Excellent math and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and reliable.
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a team-first mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and adapt to varying schedules as needed.
  • Must meet ITAR compliance requirements.
