Account Based Marketing Manager

The Account Based Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our account-based marketing approach for high-value UK advisory clients, such as national firms, networks and consolidators. This role is pivotal in driving growth in M&G's retirement solutions – including the UK's largest and longest standing smoothed fund, PruFund – through tailored marketing initiatives that strengthen relationships and accelerate conversion within key accounts.

We require a strategic thinker with a proven ability to build bespoke marketing plans, collaborating closely with Distribution to deliver on tactical objectives while aligning with overarching messaging, campaigns and always-on activity. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the sales process and account-based marketing techniques to ensure delivery of the right content at the right time, maximising engagement and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders in Distribution to identify key client accounts, understand their needs and how M&G's range of retirement solutions can add value.
  • Define and implement an account-based marketing approach, selecting and optimising channels for accurate targeting and maximum impact, including events, email, content and social media.
  • Deliver targeted collateral and support to accelerate sales conversion and deepen client relationships, reflecting an astute understanding of the sales cycle and how marketing influences decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally to integrate initiatives within the broader go-to-market strategy and ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Ensure all deliverables remain closely aligned to core messaging and effectively communicate the value proposition of M&G's solutions.
  • Use measurement, evaluation and reporting on marketing performance to inform and shape future plans.
  • Analyse data and feedback to continuously improve marketing strategies and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bespoke, account-based marketing within a B2B environment.
  • Experience in asset management and/or wider financial services is preferrable but not essential.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in optimising channel choice, format, key messaging and audience targeting.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate input from various teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of data visualisation tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Edinburgh, Stirling or London (Hybrid 2 - 3 days a week in the office)
