Cook/Culinarian

Metz Culinary Management is growing and we are seeking talented Cooks/Culinarians who share our passion for amazing food and unforgettable service. We are seeking candidates for full and part-time roles in a fast-paced government dining setting.

Due to the nature of this government setting, the following requirements are mandatory:

  • Must possess a Real ID or current U.S. Passport
  • Must be eligible for security clearance
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Must have reliable transportation (no public transportation available)

Position Description:

In a hospitality driven, multi dining outlet setting, you will prepare and present delicious meals and impressive presentations under the guidance of our onsite Executive Chef. Additionally, you will inventory and portion ingredients while carefully following recipes, and guidelines. Additionally, you will assist in kitchen to include prep, dish room, dry stock and perishable food inventories and sanitation. Experience as a cook or culinary schooling would be ideal but we are willing to train the right person with a passion for food.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This can be full or part-time and provides very flexible schedules. Hospitality experience is desired and a smile is required!

Requirements:

  • Experience desired but we are willing to train candidates with a passion for food and understands the basics
  • Ability to apply elementary mathematical statistics that would apply to inventory and portioning
  • Be willing to roll up sleeves and contribute where needed
  • Hospitality-driven
