Purpose

This position will provide pre-hospital care in an industrial setting. They will be responsible for patrolling a location to prevent theft and violence, securing entry points, responding to emergencies, and using a firearm when necessary to protect people and property. The EMT will also be responsible for monitoring surveillance equipment, de-escalating situations, documenting incidents, and maintaining security logs. This position may be required to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate medical aid in potential dangerous, dynamic environments.
• Assess patients under extreme stress and potential dangerous conditions.
• Provide advanced medical support for other team members.
• Carry and be proficient with a firearm for self-defense and the defense of others.
• Ensure that all medical and rescue operations are conducted safely within an industrial environment.
• Regularly patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to check for hazards, security violations, and unauthorized individuals.
• Monitor and secure entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Quickly and effectively respond to alarms, incidents, and threats. This includes using force or a weapon when necessary to regain control or protect others.
• Provide a visible security presence to protect personnel, property, and visitors from harm, harassment, or theft.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and suspicious activity. Report these findings to supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with some experience in a law enforcement, industrial security, or EMT role preferred.
• Emergency Medical Technician - Basic certification

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in a law enforcement, industrial security, or EMT role.
• Emergency Medical Technician - Basic certification
• OPOTA Firearms certification
