Support Staff Technician Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate Support Staff Technician at our Convenience Care office in Portland, IN to provide support and administrative services.

This is a full-time position working 30 hours a week between the hours of operation. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 12pm-8pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-2pm.

Support Staff Technician key responsibilities include:

  • Communication (verbal and written) and consultation with all center staff, clients and the general public. Maintaining a professional, customer-focused environment.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls, scheduling/rescheduling appointments for primary care and behavioral providers, taking messages and/or routing to appropriate extension
  • Collecting patient co-pays and payments at registration and general cashier duties
  • Retrieves medical records from outside providers and creates medical record chart for new patients. Maintains a working knowledge of release of information procedures per Meridian policies and procedures.

We value your Support Staff Technician experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years secretarial/office experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to type and/or use computer in order to complete data entry and telephone duties.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A valid driver's license with a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
