About the opportunity

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing direct clinical support and act as a mentor for students, graduates, newly appointed or less experienced nurses to develop high quality clinical skills for the neonatal service at Mercy Hospital for Women. Support the implementation and evaluation of clinical learning activities across the organisation in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education MHVL, Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education and Clinical Educators.

  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Post graduate qualifications in Neonatal Nursing

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
