Operations Technical Specialist – Vaccines Intern

What you will do:

• Support department and site level activities that require process and operational knowledge.
• Support process operations including troubleshooting technical and process related issues.
• Identifying, raising, and completion of safety and quality incidents.
• Support cross-functional problem-solving teams for troubleshooting and investigations within vaccines IPT and across the site as required.
• Support and lead material management and troubleshooting with a cost focus.
• Apply lean six sigma and lean methodologies.
• Represent the department on cross-functional project teams.
• Drive continuous improvement, perform root cause analysis on system failures e.g. FMEA, fishbone diagrams, 5 why's etc.
• Adherence to the highest standards for compliance (safety, quality, and cost).

The ideal person will have:

• Working towards a science or engineering qualification or relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical operations (e.g. manufacturing, technology, engineering, quality, analytical).
• Demonstrated delivery of a section of a process/technical project.
• Problem solving skills.
• Working and collaboration across multiple functional teams.

What skills are desirable:

• Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well both within a team and independently.
