Director Marketing Cross Tumor And New Products

In a patient-centered organization focused on operational performance, the Director Marketing Cross Tumor And New Products is responsible for structuring and coordinating all critical cross-functional activities within the Oncology Business Unit (BU).

Responsibilities include:

Supervising the strategic and operational management of new product teams, project managers, client engagement teams, and precision medicine.

Preparing and anticipating the BU's readiness for new products (hematology, etc.).

Ensuring cross-functional governance to strengthen alignment between franchises, sales, medical, market access, and operations, ensuring consistency and excellence of execution across the portfolio.

Identifying, evaluating, scaling, or discontinuing high-impact projects for the BU. Leading cross-functional projects and acting as a strategic right-hand to the Director of the Oncology BU.

The Director Marketing Cross Tumor And New Products is responsible for establishing and driving cross-functional governance within the BU. They define priority areas, coordinate between franchises, commercial teams, medical, market access, and ensure a clear and shared vision for all cross-tumor subjects.

They lead the precision medicine team and ensure performance in execution for the current and future portfolio. They ensure that diagnostic capabilities are adapted to the needs of current and future indications, working closely with medical teams, market access, and other departments.

They also lead new product activities: strategic analyses, preparing the ground for future indications, coordinating with global and regional teams, and anticipating operational needs related to the arrival of new treatments. Their role is to ensure cross-tumor coherence of the pipeline and prepare the BU for the evolution of its portfolio.

They carry a portfolio of cross-functional projects that they structure, select, and pilot with discipline, identifying those to be accelerated or deployed more broadly, and discontinuing those with insufficient impact.

In this role, they also oversee client engagement activities, aiming to ensure the coherence of approaches and their integration into the plans of different teams, without making them an isolated entity but a true cross-functional relay in service of the BU's priorities.

Finally, they are a key contact for the BU for local, regional, and global teams on cross-functional topics and pipeline, and contribute to key BU exercises, such as forecasting, strategic analyses, and major arbitrations.

The Director Cross Tumor And New Products manages and develops all cross-functional teams under their responsibility. They organize and coordinate their activities to ensure consistent and effective execution. They implement individual development programs, conduct the full management cycle (goal setting, evaluations, continuous feedback, differentiation), and ensure the progress and motivation of their team members. They recruit and retain talent while identifying high potentials within their scope, preparing and presenting them in talent reviews.

They lead or supervise major cross-functional projects impacting multiple franchises and coordinate all stakeholders to ensure success. They structure the processes that support these projects, evolve them as necessary, and apply a strict prioritization logic to accelerate high-impact initiatives and discontinue those that do not justify continued pursuit.

They validate the strategic and tactical choices proposed by their marketing teams in the PP and LROP marketing plans.

They drive a continuous improvement approach across all cross-functional processes. Their approach is based on objective analysis of facts: they identify dysfunctions, propose relevant improvements, and ensure the dissemination of best practices between teams and franchises, in a logic of collective learning and enhanced efficiency.

They ensure that all teams within their scope master and apply the internal and external requirements governing the activity. They guarantee that the behaviors and decisions of their scope are impeccable and fully compliant with the company's ethical and regulatory standards.

The role requires a strong strategic vision and a deep understanding of the oncology portfolio. The Director Marketing Cross Tumor And New Products has proven expertise in marketing, digital, project management, and new products, as well as a proven ability to analyze, judge, and make decisions. They effectively influence, communicate clearly, and exercise cross-functional leadership to mobilize beyond their direct scope. They are capable of managing and prioritizing a complex portfolio of projects and possess the managerial skills necessary for talent development and change management. Mastery of the IT tools of the position is also essential.
