Eye Clinic Ophthalmic Nurse

We are seeking an ophthalmic nurse for our eye clinic in Uppsala. At the clinic, we work on everything from private vision correction surgeries, refractive surgery, and public eye care on behalf of Region Uppsala. In the field of ophthalmology, we offer eye care clinics for children and adults, orthoptics, cataract surgeries, outpatient surgeries, and retinal photography for diabetes. You will belong to a cohesive team with a high level of commitment and focus on all patients who come to the clinic daily.

Job duties

As an ophthalmic nurse at the clinic in Uppsala, you will have a varied job with a focus on assisting in surgery.

Other duties include:

• Receiving patients at the clinic
• Working with phone reception
• Handling referrals, planning, and bookings
• Preparing patients for reception visits
• Optional own reception depending on previous experience

Who you are

We are looking for you to be a licensed nurse with specialist competence in ophthalmology with several years of work experience in the field and from surgery.

The position requires good collaboration skills and a high degree of independence. We expect you to contribute to high quality and safeguard patient safety. We believe that you have an easy time learning new things and are happy to adopt new work methods and enjoy change. You value good cooperation and high commitment, confident and proactive are words that reflect you as a person.

Scope: Full-time Monday to Friday. Other employment grade can be discussed

Employment form: Permanent employment, starting with a six-month probationary period
