A Day in the Life

We offer you a responsible position where you actively contribute to the expansion of the Medtronic portfolio in the field of Peripheral Vascular Health. You will have an exciting and varied sales task with numerous opportunities for shaping and strategic relevance. In this role, you act as the central interface between internal departments such as Remote Sales, Marketing, Customer Care and external contacts, including hospitals and non-clinical stakeholders. You build trustworthy and long-term partnerships in both the clinical and non-clinical areas and are responsible for the sustainable growth and development of sales in your region. With a strong analytical understanding and a structured, efficient working method, you make an essential contribution to securing and increasing the profitability of your sales region. By applying data-driven strategies and sound market analyses, you develop effective sales approaches tailored to the specific needs and potentials of your area. The position advertised covers the region from South Baden to the Saarland, with a preference for a residence in the greater Karlsruhe (Pforzheim) area. It is a remote position where your home address serves as the primary workplace. For occasional meetings, your personal presence in the Medtronic office may be required. Please note that for this position, a facility-related vaccination obligation exists. Therefore, full measles vaccination is a prerequisite for filling this position.

Responsibilities include, as follows:

  • Independent and direct sales of selected medical products to existing and new customers - including conducting product presentations
  • Building, maintaining, and advising on contacts and providing technical consultation and support to decision-makers in hospitals
  • Documenting sales opportunities and progress of acquisition activities in the CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Conducting market and competitive analysis as well as order analysis and customer behavior
  • Supporting key opinion leaders and local marketing measures and events
  • Participating and contributing to supra-regional events and congresses
  • Ensuring sales and revenue targets and high customer satisfaction through close support and excellent service
  • Travel activity in the sales area >80%

Required knowledge and experience:

  • Completed university degree or a completed commercial, technical, or medical vocational training
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a sales position, ideally in the medical technology sector
  • Consistency and experience in efficient planning and implementation of sales projects with an excellent analytical approach
  • Enjoyment of communication and networking, as well as teamwork and the ability to integrate into team structures – We are looking for a strong team player!
  • High level of empathy and ability to actively listen, as well as sustainability and reliability in cooperation
  • Ability to present complex relationships convincingly
  • Very good knowledge of German and good English skills in speech and writing
