Graduate Program Engineer

Our Graduate Program in Medtronic, is focused on opportunities to develop exceptional candidates for critical roles within a diverse engineering environment supporting the Facilities function; including Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, and Energy Management. Medtronic Parkmore, where the role is based, is a healthcare solutions provider and manufacturer of medical devices in the Cardiac, Ablations, and Vascular space.

Working as an Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Systems) within the Facilities Function, you will provide expertise and support in the management of infrastructure maintenance, installation of facilities upgrade projects, management of quality in a controlled industry, and management of energy systems. Typical activities include the following:

  • Provide support and oversight to our electrical/mechanical engineering teams in the programming and management of maintenance to the facilities infrastructure.
  • Support our Maintenance Excellence programme, where we are implementing maintenance process improvement and full life cycle asset management.
  • Provide Engineering focus and technical support for facilities infrastructure task teams.
  • Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize function performance.
  • Work with our energy management team, to support our campus sustainability journey.
  • Work with our Project Management Organisation (PMO) as part of a cross functional team, gathering project requirements, providing technical input, supporting installation of infrastructure upgrades, and sustaining the PMO governance process.
  • Execute daily activities, always adhering to the Facilities & Construction PMO Code of Ethics, bounded by honesty, fairness, respect, and accountability.
  • Be Accountable for delivering consistent decisions, actions, and results.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified person with a minimum NFQ Level 7 degree Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Systems Engineering who have graduated within the last 2 years.
  • You are a dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.
  • You are a good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speaking.
