Employee Relations Shared Services Role

This role within Employee Relations Shared Services will have responsibility for managing the operations team that supports the Employee & Labor Relations (COE) for EMEA as well as core processes in Workforce Transitions (RIF). This role requires maintaining confidential information with heightened sense of data integrity and accuracy, the incumbent will also perform some operational tasks and entry-level employee relations issues, promoting a positive culture within the business, while minimizing risks and maintaining neutrality. The role will independently perform and lead specialized operational-related tasks for reduction in force, Employee & Labor Relations (ELR) Operations and/or shared services project work and tasks as directed, with a heightened sense and drive for process improvement. This role requires collaboration, leadership, tact, discretion, and judgment to accomplish objectives.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Partners with Employee & Labor Relations to provide operations support and input on program/process design and development and entry-level ER matters
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to create new processes and improve current processes developing short- and long-term plans to increase effectiveness and efficiency and be able to measure that over time
  • Collaborates through the Human Resources function to establish operational standards and procedures that are leveraged to respond to employee and manager questions, ensures transactions are processed accurately and HR/ER programs and processes are administered effectively and efficiently
  • Lead efforts in partnership with ER Shared Services Leadership and Workforce Transitions for Global RIF Management (data and metrics, severance costs, adverse impact, notifications, terminations, employee escalations, etc.)
  • Advises managers and employees on entry-level RIF and ER related matters
  • Escalating situations as appropriate to the applicable Center of Expertise
  • Executes and assists in the development, implementation and administration of project processes and procedures. Identifies efficiencies and implementation of process improvements. Examples include termination and restructuring process, data entry & metrics, etc.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • University degree / MBA
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong people management experience in a matrixed corporate environment
  • Exposure to multi-country operations and cross-regional team coordination
  • Comfortable with ambiguity – not all processes are fully defined.
