Health Care Provider for the Transplant Nephrology and Transplant ICCE. Uses advanced clinical management, consultation, education and research to promote quality care for the specific transplant patient populations. Develops and implements clinical pathway guidelines and evaluates outcomes. Advances clinical knowledge through research-based practice. Coordinates staff development and assists in orientation. An ability to establish cooperative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals, medical staff and other health care disciplines and understanding of the consultative process. The ideal applicant will have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a wide range of groups and individuals, possess highly developed analytical skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills, and must have emotional/mental ability to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure during stressful or emergency situations. Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and two years clinical experience required, at least one year of which must have been in a specialty area of care. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner specific to the area of employment required unless a new graduate. New graduates must be certification eligible upon employment, and obtain certification within six months of employment. Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse and hold official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner from the South Carolina Board of Nursing. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
