We operate and develop highly available network infrastructures with our own autonomous system (AS) and several peering locations. Our focus lies on stable, secure, and performant backbone connections – with modern technologies and components from manufacturers Juniper, Arista, and Dell.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced network engineer (m/w/d) who will take responsibility for the planning, operation, and further development of our core and backbone environments.

Duties

• Planning, operation, and optimization of backbone and data center networks
• Administration and maintenance of our autonomous system (AS), including BGP peering and transit connections
• Configuration and troubleshooting of dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS)
• Maintenance of network components from manufacturers Juniper, Arista, and Dell
• Analysis and resolution of network disturbances (2nd/3rd-level support)
• Collaboration in the development of network topology and security concepts
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
• Participation in specific on-call duty

Qualification

• Completed training or degree in IT (e.g., system integration specialist, computer science, etc.)
• Several years of professional experience in the field of service providers or data center networks
• Very good knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and in the use of autonomous systems (AS)
• Proven experience with hardware from manufacturers Juniper, Arista, and Dell
• Secure handling of IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, spanning tree, LACP, EVPN/VXLAN
• Structured and independent working style
• Team spirit and communication skills
• Very good German in speech and writing, as well as good English skills
• Residence in the Rhine-Main area or willingness to occasionally work on-site
