Position Summary

We are looking for a collaborative and analytical Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Information Services team. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across the organization to analyze business needs, define clear requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions for reporting and data enhancements. The successful candidate will bring expertise in data structures, reporting tools, and business process analysis, along with a proven ability to foster collaboration and drive results. Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business users across the organization to understand needs and objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships and maintain clear communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Analyze business needs and define clear, detailed requirements for new reports, dashboards and data solutions.
  • Convert business requirements into actionable technical specifications for reporting and data enhancements.
  • Collaborate with developers and BI teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of reporting solutions.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews, and feedback sessions.
  • Work with data structures and reporting tools to ensure accurate and efficient solutions.
  • Assess and improve business processes related to data and reporting.
  • Transform complex data challenges into meaningful insights that support decision-making.
  • Validate and test reports and data outputs to ensure alignment with business expectations.
  • Support data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with data quality standards.
  • Maintain documentation and change logs for reporting and data-related projects.

Required Qualifications

Education: College diploma, bachelor's degree, or relevant experience

Work Experience: 5+ Years Experience in Business Analysis or closely related field with a focus on data and reporting.

  • Strong understanding of data models, relational databases, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with SQL and data querying is a plus.
  • IIBA Certification is considered an asset but not required.

Language Skills: English, written and spoken. French would be considered an asset.

Security Clearance Requirement: In conjunction with our contract with the Federal Government, you will be required to have Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B). This includes Fingerprinting, Criminal Record Check, Credit Check and you must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.
