This is a specialized position within the Special Victims Unit (SVU) as the Sr. Social Services Manager. Plan, develop, and manage human services programs. This senior-level position is responsible for organizing staff to effectively carry out program activities; implementing program design, development and strategic planning; and ensure compliance with program requirements.
This position will be located at 430 Stitt Road, Charlotte, NC 28213. Please note this position may require after hours (after 5:00 pm) and weekend work as needed.
Manage and evaluate assigned staff; process and resolve employee concerns and problems; direct work; coach, counsel, and mentor staff; complete employee performance appraisals; conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations
Ensure operational efficiency while meeting local, State and Federal guidelines
Develop new program policies and procedures that are continually incorporated into the division
Responsible for budgeting, strategic planning, goal setting, measurement, hiring, retaining staff, and ensuring adequate training needs are met
Develop procedures to meet department or program goals, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines
Review information with teams or staff members to provide guidance and direction in the delivery of services
Establish performance objectives, conduct periodic reviews and monitors progress
Provide consultation to staff in complex case situations, acute emergencies, or cases which require a high level decision
Review and analyze activity reports and statistics for continuous assessment and improvement of program operation
Identify information and resources necessary to assess community needs
Assist in the development and implementation of program procedures and policies
Coordinate and align services and activities to monitor performance through data collection and reporting
Participation on committees and work groups both internally and with community partners as needed
Some positions may be required to supervises enrollment and eligibility activities performed in the NC FAST system
May be required to staff shelters in the event of a disaster
Experience: Minimum of seven years of experience in area of assignment and two years of supervisory experience

Requires a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License
Requires County Driving Privileges
Demonstrated strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proven experience in multidisciplinary collaboration with community partners, including law enforcement, medical professionals, and other specialized organizations.
Specialized training and experience in handling complex cases involving child abuse (including sexual, emotional, and physical abuse) and domestic violence.
Knowledge of general social work principles and available resources
