MEC's Planner Scheduler

MEC's Planner Scheduler is responsible for managing and completing the day to day orders from internal and external customers. Work as a team with Customer Service Representative in fulfilling customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Responsible for establishing, managing, reviewing and maintaining a master schedule
  • Responsible for making adjustments to the master production schedule to ensure that inventory levels and customer service goals are maintained and proper capacity and material planning occur; manage volatility in orders
  • Responsible for developing the reordering information on each part to support customer requirements
  • Review the materials required and work with Purchasing on any material issues that could result in late deliveries.
  • In depth knowledge of forecasting in build-to-order, build-to-stock, and assembly-to-order environment
  • Knowledge of Lean concepts (TPS) as it relates to scheduling functions
  • Correspond directly with Operations on priorities and schedule changes
  • Assists the Sales Lead and CSR on managing the customer account
  • Communicate and coordinate with MEC's internal departments
  • Cleaning up back orders; avoid excel stock

Qualifications

  • Interpersonal skills; organization skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Communication skills (verbal and written) with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts; Professionally assertive
  • In depth knowledge of master production schedules, material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, just in time philosophy, theory of constraints, cycle time, Kanban, QS9000 demand-pull, order-push concepts
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently
  • Listening skills; Adaptability; Initiative; Stress tolerance
  • High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications (MS Word/Excel,ERP)
  • Ability to comprehend Enterprise Resource Planning system
  • Track customer pick orders for shipping
  • MEC product knowledge; Knowledge of administrative procedures
