We are looking for a GTM Recruiter who thrives in high-stakes, high-speed, high-output environments and treats every search like it is for their own company. You will lead recruiting for Mechanism and our portfolio companies, partnering directly with CEOs and senior leaders to land top one percent talent in growth roles that shape the trajectory of the business. This is not a role for someone who simply takes orders. You will be a full-stack, high-agency recruiter who can set the strategy, execute the plan, and close the hire faster than anyone thinks possible. You will move with urgency, adapt in real time, and raise the bar with every placement. Every search here is a high-visibility, high-impact project. Key Responsibilities

What you'll do:

  • GTM Recruiting Expert - You have successfully sourced and hired growth marketers, SEO leads, retention specialists, and digital marketing professionals on LinkedIn.
  • Own the Search, End to End - From first outreach to signed offer, you run a high-quality process with zero dropped balls. You set clear expectations, are detail-oriented, and deliver direct, actionable feedback.
  • Be a Strategic Partner, Not a Coordinator - You understand business priorities, anticipate hiring needs before they hit, and bring market intelligence that influences leadership decisions.
  • Own ATS Functions (Pinpoint) - Post roles, track candidates, re-write JDs, and move candidates through each stage with speed and precision.
  • Be Proactive - We operate in a scrappy startup environment and are always refining our hiring process. We expect our recruiting team to rely on data and be relentless in finding the best way to hire top performers.
  • Team Player - Jump into other People Ops projects whenever there's a need - no silos, no "that's not my job."

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of internal recruiting experience in a high growth startup environment, where you were working with multiple stakeholders across many departments, including supporting GTM roles like paid media, SEO, retention, conversion rate optimization, and more.
  • Having both agency & startup experience is a bonus!
  • Experience hiring for international, remote teams.
  • Track record of providing a high-touch, positive candidate experience; we want every candidate (whether hired or not) to have a great experience with Mechanism and PortCo brands.
  • A LinkedIn response rate above 40% on average.
  • Ability to create and implement recruiting processes across numerous business models and industries.
  • Experience with Pinpoint and/or Ashby is a plus.
  • Inherently scrappy and have an ability to pivot and adapt in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • A top-notch communicator. You are proactive, clear, and compelling in your written and oral communication.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working autonomously.
  • A natural people person who thrives on collaboration and positivity in a team environment.
  • Insatiably curious and a lifelong learner, always looking to learn everything there is to know about the teams you partner with, the open positions you're working on, recruiting, and your candidates!

You'll embark on a 10-hour paid work trial, compensated at $50 per hour, where you'll collaborate directly with our VP of Growth on an active role. This hands-on experience offers a transparent window into our work culture and processes, allowing you to assess us as much as we assess you. You have the flexibility to spread this trial across several days to accommodate your schedule. We're excited to give you a real taste of the impact you can make on our team and look forward to this collaborative evaluation phase.

Location and Time Commitment

We are fully remote - you can work wherever you're most productive. This role is full-time and will need to overlap with US EST for the majority of the workday.

Compensation

Our compensation packages are designed to make this your dream job for the short and long term. Each compensation package is tailored to suit your priorities and can include base, equity (in all of our active portfolio companies and any that are launched during your tenure at Mechanism), and performance bonus based on the profitability of our portfolio companies.
