The mission of The University of Texas M. D. The primary purpose of the Patient Services Coordinator position is to perform operational and clinical tasks including but not limited to patient appointment and consult scheduling; scheduling diagnostic tests, expediting clinic flow, accurate processing and completion of charge captive tasks and assisting in invasive identification and authorization. Requires knowledge of and execution of selected tasks related to direct patient care. Operations and clinical support are the major function of this position. Requires flexibility and the ability to function in multiple patient support capabilities as delegated by the charge nurse or center management team.

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Health Services Administration or Business.
Required:
Three years of relevant work experience.
Preferred:
Experience in a patient care or healthcare administration setting.
May substitute additional education for required experience on a one to one basis.
Required:
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
