The Ambulatory Business Services Department at MD Anderson Cancer Center plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive seamless, compassionate, and efficient support throughout their care journey. Ambulatory Business Services staff are dedicated to managing the business side of patient care so that individuals and families can focus on healing. By working closely with clinical teams, they help reduce administrative stress for patients, ensuring that access to world-class cancer treatment is as smooth as possible.
The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for scheduling patient visits, physician appointments, diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments. This role involves communicating pertinent information regarding appointments, scheduling, prepayment, and financial counseling to patients, families, physicians, team members, and other patient care areas. The coordinator interprets and coordinates physician orders and prepares and maintains appointment templates and/or patient records.
The ideal candidate will have front desk experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a strong background in healthcare customer service. They should also have scheduling experience and familiarity with the Epic electronic health record system.
Candidates who are also interested in the following shifts are preferred:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Hourly breakdown of salary range: Minimum $19.23 - Midpoint $24.03 - Maximum $28.84.

The working hours for this position will vary depending on the assigned Center and its business needs. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet the demands of our dynamic environment. Depending on the Center, some positions may require you to work fully on-site.
