The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a key role within the Acute Care Services Team. This team supports complex procedural care for patients requiring rapid assessment and intervention. MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution focused on cancer care, research, education, and prevention.
In this role, the APP delivers high‑acuity clinical care, performs invasive bedside procedures, and supports interdisciplinary coordination across fast‑paced emergency and acute care environments. The Advanced Practice Provider is essential in ensuring safe, timely, and effective patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of clinical experience in interventional radiology, emergency medicine, critical care, or a surgical setting, along with demonstrated competency in independent patient assessment, managing hemodynamic instability, and responding to emergent clinical deterioration. Preferred skills include suturing experience and, for nursing applicants, First Assist Certification.
The typical work schedule is 7:30am–6:00pm, four 10‑hour rotating shifts, Monday–Sunday, with potential for late stay to complete procedures.
