Part-Time Faculty Tutor

The Center for Academic Success & Enrichment is seeking a part-time faculty tutor to support the School of Physical Therapy. Tutors will offer academic support for didactic and laboratory course work in an in-person and/or virtual format. Students are currently enrolled in our Doctor of Physical Therapy program on the Worcester campus.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting students enrolled in didactic coursework with content acquisition and application, critical thinking, and clinical skill development as it related to learning outcomes for the courses.
• Offering tutoring session availability in an in-person and/or online/virtual format.
• Providing tailored guidance as it relates to medical knowledge, clinical knowledge, as well as professionalism for DPT students.
• Providing strategies for students to actively apply on their own/outside the tutoring session to check for understanding.
• Collaborating with the applicable course instructor to determine primary content areas to focus on with students.
• Providing feedback to student specific to subject matter.
• Using the University's learning management and scheduling system to communicate with students and document sessions.
• Providing feedback to the program director as to student progress and/or trends observed while working with students in a tutoring capacity.
• Providing engaging activities during sessions that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
