Schedule: 4:00pm-2:00am

Hours per pay period: 80

Position Summary: The Supervisor of Nursing assumes responsibility and is responsible for the entire nursing operational functions. Additional responsibilities include; assigning Nursing personnel using established guidelines combined with knowledge of patient acuity. Evaluates oncoming shift for staffing needs and acts accordingly. On Call Holiday Rotation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assigns Nursing personnel using established guidelines combined with knowledge of patient acuity.
• Daily supervises staff
• Evaluates oncoming shift for staffing needs and acts accordingly.
• Assesses Nursing staff for adequate orientation and training and communicates to Director of Nursing.
• Communicates with Nurse Manager regarding activities of Nursing personnel.

Required:

• Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
• Two years experience in appropriate clinical setting
• Current RN or LPN Licensure in State of Michigan

Preferred:

• Previous management/charge nurse experience
