McKesson is seeking a dynamic and engaging leader for the role of Outbound Operations Manager for our distribution center (DC) located in the Lehigh Valley (LHV) region of Pennsylvania.

The LHV DC is the largest DC in the McKesson Medical-Surgical network with a footprint of 500,000 sq. ft., our warehouse team consists of 400+ team members to support the business.

Delivering top-notch service to our customers while also achieving performance standards and metrics is a daily goal of this leadership role. Features within the DC such as automated induction, workflow management, pick to light, and automated storage retrieval systems facilitate meeting those goals. You will have the tools and resources in place to manage a highly successful team of individuals. Initial travel throughout the network to other high volume DCs will be required to increase your knowledge as we plan for the LHV DC go live.

Key responsibilities:

  • 9 plus years in a distribution and/or operations environment
  • Lead large teams over multiple shifts, in a 24/7 operations
  • Automation and management system background
  • Experience with performance metric and process improvement
  • Strong financial and data acumen; ability to analyze and utilize to drive results.
  • Create employee engagement while building working relationships internally and externally.
  • Manage, train, and develop supervisors and associates through coaching, mentoring, and effective communication
  • Ability to highly motivate others and create a positive, enthusiastic, organized, and clean work environment with the utmost dedication to our team and customers.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, interpersonal and organization skills with the ability to handle changing priorities and use of good judgement through stressful situations
  • Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that improve customer care, reduces cost, improves service, capacity and productivity.

Required skills:

  • Deep understanding of how all departments within a distribution center function and their interdependencies
  • Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Experience with automation and workflow management systems
  • Passion and commitment to continuous improvement with demonstrated success in leading and influencing team members
  • Must be a positive change leader with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to see the "big picture"
  • Experience with Labor Management System
  • Advanced computer skills including typical office suite programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including presentation skills
  • Experience with data analytics (Excel, Power BI, Tableau)

Preferred skills:

  • Bilingual is a HUGE plus
  • 3+ years in an advance leadership role (Supervisor or above)
  • Experience with loose picking
  • Experience leading large distribution centers (100+)

Education:

4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience

Minimum requirements:

Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.

Physical requirements:

Position includes standing, sitting, walking in a warehouse environment

Must be able to carry and operate a laptop

Must be willing to work various hours in a 24/7 operational warehouse

Primary shift is M-F 7AM start time; shifts are generally 10hrs.

Our Base Pay Range for this position $87,500 - $145,800
