Summary

The Director, IT Service Delivery – Canada Retail Merchandising is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of retail merchandising technology solutions. This role drives IT strategy, service delivery excellence, and operational efficiency to enhance customer experience and support revenue growth across McKesson's retail operations.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute the IT strategy for retail merchandising solutions aligned to business goals
  • Lead end-to-end service delivery, including implementation, support, and continuous improvement
  • Establish and manage a robust service delivery operating model with clear accountability
  • Define and track KPIs to improve service performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure integration of merchandising systems across retail ecosystem (product creation, pricing, promotions, POS, planograms)
  • Lead design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions
  • Partner cross-functionally (marketing, sales, customer service) to deliver integrated retail experiences
  • Manage budgets, resources, and cost optimization for service delivery
  • Lead and develop a high-performing IT team through coaching and performance management
  • Select and manage vendors, including contracts, SLAs, and strategic partnerships
  • Ensure security, compliance, and data privacy standards are met
  • Drive business continuity, disaster recovery, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Deliver operational excellence through process improvements and value creation (revenue and margin impact)

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of IT experience, including leadership in service delivery or solution development
  • Strong experience supporting retail, merchandising, or commerce platforms
  • Proven ability to lead IT strategy, architecture, and delivery at scale
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and complex programs
  • Strong understanding of service delivery models and performance metrics (KPIs, SLAs)
  • Experience managing vendors and external partners
  • Strong financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, ROI focus)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making mindset
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Customer-focused approach with a focus on quality and continuous improvement

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in retail merchandising systems (pricing, promotions, assortments, POS, planograms)
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments or healthcare/retail distribution
  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Experience driving digital transformation or modernization initiatives
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks
  • Experience working in matrix organizations

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
