Scandicci, Italy – Onsite Setting Supervisor: Gemma Mazzini Recruiter: Maciej Janikowski HR Generalist Scandicci, Italy - Onsite Setting Fixed Term Contract – 12 months

The HR Generalist provides comprehensive operational and advisory HR support at country level across the full employee lifecycle. This role partners closely with HR Business Partners in the following areas: Life-cycle documentation management, employee relations, recruitment, training and support on processes of compensation and benefits. This role combines strong operational execution with data-driven insights to support strategic workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Offer support on several operational activities related to People Life Cycle: employment letters and related collections of documents; letters for role changes and benefits; disciplinary letters archive and process timeline, compliance training, administration and external funds management (i.e. language classes, some leadership localized training delivered by local external vendors).
  • HR Systems Ownership with the responsibility for maintaining employee data accuracy in SF/SAP and supporting system updates, audits, and data governance.
  • Payroll Liaison acting as point of contact between HR and payroll to ensure timely and accurate salary processing and reporting.
  • Partner with McCormick Employment Center and Business Partners to recruit, conduct interviews, and hire qualified candidates for non-exempt and exempt positions.
  • Maintains and expands knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed laws/regulations affecting human resources management including worker's compensation. Support the HRBP in applying the appropriate laws and policies and offers advice to managers and employees.
  • Agency point of contact, Universities/Schools point of contact. Induction process for all new joiners including providing guidance to new hires and managers in interpretation of company policies, procedures and programs consistent with McCormick's philosophy and core values.

Candidate Profile:

  • MSc in Economic, Human Relations, Psychology, Business or similar.
  • Proven HR Generalist experience for 2-3 years with strong ability in conducting interviews with candidates and overall proven experience in Talent Acquisition processes.
  • Fluent Italian language knowledge, excellent English language knowledge.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications. Advanced skills in Excel. HRIS (SuccessFactor) proven experience required.
  • Ability to lead, participate and function effectively in collaborative, team environments and work independently. Knowledge of Employment Law and Best HR Practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Presentation ability and motivational speaking Ability to articulate and write in an analytical and persuasive manner. Ability to interact with employees at all levels - via coaching, employee relations issues, presentations, customer service.
