Creative problem-solving is encouraged, and growth happens through hands-on work across software, hardware, and network security. If you want to make an impact, solve complex technical puzzles, and help defend critical systems, this is a place where your skills matter and your ideas shape the future of technology.

Job Description

MAXISIQ is seeking a highly experienced RF Engineer with deep expertise in tactical communications and electromagnetic warfare to join our team. This is a critical role supporting advanced military communications and electronic warfare systems that ensure secure and effective communication channels within defense operations.

As an RF Engineer, you will develop architectures that support:

  • Air-to-air communications
  • Air-to-ground communications
  • Aerial electromagnetic warfare capabilities

You will be involved in pioneering Radio Frequency Research and Development (R&D) programs aligned with Department of Defense (DoD) Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyberspace, and Intelligence (C5ISR) systems and electromagnetic warfare capabilities.

This role is primarily remote with some travel required and requires a motivated self-starter comfortable working independently on highly complex operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement RF architectures for tactical communication systems and electromagnetic warfare.
  • Support and lead RF Research & Development programs relevant to C5ISR and electronic warfare.
  • Interface and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF solutions within larger defense systems.
  • Analyze and solve highly complex problems related to RF propagation, signal processing, and system performance.
  • Develop technical documentation including design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and techniques in RF engineering, communications, and EW.
  • Ensure compliance with all DoD security protocols and support system qualification & certification processes.

Qualifications

Education & Certification:

  • Master's Degree (MS) in Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in DoD RF engineering, with preference for candidates having over 20 years.
  • Extensive experience in tactical communications and electromagnetic warfare development.
  • Proven track record working on Department of Defense C5ISR and electromagnetic warfare programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in RF system design, antenna theory, spectrum management, radar signal processing, and EW architectures.
  • Experience working within classified and secure environments.

Technical Skills:

  • Skilled in RF simulation and analysis tools such as MATLAB, CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, or similar software.
  • Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and anechoic chamber testing.
  • Proficiency with system modeling and hardware integration for RF communications systems.
  • Familiarity with DoD communication standards, protocols, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong capability to interpret electromagnetic compatibility/interference data and design mitigations.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to technical and operational audiences.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and present complex concepts clearly.

Additional Information

Why Join Us?
