Logistics Systems Engineer

Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. LCE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our LCE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety and Supportability.

As a Logistics Systems Engineer you'll be an integral part of the WLE team interfacing directly with team members and stakeholders including customer program leaders. In this role, you're responsible for the development and maintenance of detailed Logistics supportability analysis, Provisioning data for parts, and Spares Analysis for hardware within a specific product line. Responsibilities to Anticipate: In addition to developing and maintaining supportability analyses and provisioning data, you'll have the following responsibilities:

  • You will work under consultative direction to apply advanced logistics principles to develop complex program level concepts and plans.
  • You will implement the successful execution of these plans.
  • You will work under consultative direction to develop Basis of Estimates for proposal efforts.

Qualifications You Must Have

BS in a STEM discipline or BA in Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry or Physics and 2 years of prior relevant experience; or Advanced degree in STEM discipline

Experience with data collection and/or analysis

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience in understanding a Hardware Generation Breakdown or Bill of Material

Experience with any of the following areas of the Technical Data Package: Drawings, Parts Lists, Electrical schematic

Familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Solidworks or CreoView

Experience reviewing and understanding system drawings

Experience working with relational databases

Experience in performing Statistical Analysis

Experience in the development and maintenance of Logistics Management Information (LMI) in accordance with GEIA-STD-0007 or MIL-STD-1388-2B

Experience utilizing EAGLE, POWERLOG or SLICWave tools

Experience with Logistics Plans

Experience in developing Spares Analysis and Spares List Development (Poisson Based Statistical Analysis, OPUS Suite, or similar analysis software experience)

US Military - supply chain familiarity

"Hands on" experience with hardware repair and maintenance a plus

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Experience with Microsoft Office applications

The salary range for this role is $66,000 - $130,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
