Senior Analytics Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA)

AWS is looking for a Senior Analytics Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) to join our Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Solutions Architecture team. In this role, you will work with government, education, and nonprofit customers to unlock the power of their data using AWS services. You will help them modernize legacy systems, build cloud-native analytics platforms, and accelerate innovation through scalable, secure, and intelligent data solutions. As an SSA, you will serve as a technical leader, builder, and trusted advisor. You'll partner with AWS field teams, service teams, and technology and consulting partners to deliver prototypes, workshops, technical assets, and reference architectures. Your work will drive customer success, enable scale, and shape AWS's analytics and AI strategy in the public sector.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead technical engagements focused on data lakes, data warehousing, real-time analytics, and AI/ML use cases.
  • Deliver proof-of-concepts and workshops that demonstrate the value of AWS analytics and GenAI services.
  • Collaborate with CxOs, developers, data scientists, and IT leaders to design scalable, secure, and cost effective data architectures.
  • Influence product and roadmap decisions by representing customer needs to AWS service teams.
  • Create reusable technical content including reference architectures, whitepapers, blog posts, and enablement materials.
  • Mentor field solution architects and drive internal enablement across AWS WWPS teams.
  • Travel up to 30% to engage with customers and partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data & analytics, software development, or cloud infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing analytics or data platforms.
  • Deep expertise in cloud data services such as data lakes, data warehouses, big data, search, and streaming.
  • Experience with architecture and migration of large-scale data solutions to the cloud.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
  • Familiarity with GenAI, AI/ML tools, and their integration into data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS analytics services (e.g., Redshift, Glue, Athena, Kinesis, QuickSight).
  • AWS certification(s) in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or Solutions Architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical customer engagements and build lasting relationships.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
