You will join a team managing the lifecycle of infrastructure and security, enhancing IBM's cloud solutions to ensure enterprises achieve efficiency, security, and scalability in their cloud journey.

In this role, you can expect to:

• Develop and maintain application code across the full stack of HCP Terraform in Ruby on Rails, Golang, and Ember.
• Perform technical design and help with decision-making through the RFC process.
• Investigate problems, performance bottlenecks, and customer escalations.
• Enable your teammates through technical mentorship, code reviews, and pairing.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation that supports this feature in production.
• Partner with our Product Manager and Designer on early technical feasibility analysis and iterative continuous delivery.

Required technical and professional expertise:

• Experience developing cloud-based applications at enterprise scale.
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer, working on any of the following: Ruby on Rails, Ember.js, Golang, or other MVC-based frameworks.
• Understanding of code that is maintainable, performant, and scalable.
• Desire to become a domain expert at Terraform and HCP Terraform.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• A growth mindset.

Preferred technical and professional experience:

• Experience with using Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure.
• Experience with HCP Terraform (formerly Terraform Cloud).
• Experience with Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) or similar.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or other cloud providers.
