Sr. Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a Sr. Hardware Engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience in Industrial Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in power calculations, schematic entry, and component analysis. This role requires proficiency in hardware processors, chips, and EMI/EMC testing. The candidate will work from our office during the day shift contributing to innovative hardware solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop hardware solutions that meet industrial manufacturing standards and requirements.
  • Conduct power calculations to ensure efficient and effective hardware performance.
  • Perform schematic entry and component analysis to optimize hardware design.
  • Utilize expertise in hardware processors and chips to enhance product functionality.
  • Conduct EMI/EMC testing to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Design power supply systems that are reliable and meet project specifications.
  • Develop analog circuits that are integral to the hardware architecture.
  • Implement digital logic design to improve hardware efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware solutions into larger systems.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware issues to maintain optimal performance.
  • Document hardware design processes and outcomes for future reference and improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in hardware technology and industrial manufacturing.
  • Contribute to the company’s mission by delivering high-quality hardware solutions that impact society positively.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a strong background in power calculations and schematic entry.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in component analysis and hardware processors.
  • Have experience with hardware chips and EMI/EMC testing.
  • Show expertise in power supply design and analog circuits.
  • Be skilled in digital logic design and hardware architecture.
  • Understand the nuances of industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Certifications Required:

  • Certified Hardware Design Engineer
  • EMI/EMC Certification

The annual salary for this position is between $128,000 – $150,000 + COLA + Bonus depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
