Clean Harbors is currently searching for a Senior Field Project Manager- Chemical Engineer to join the Capital Projects Chemical Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects transfer stations, incinerators and refineries nationwide. The successful candidate will focus on budgets, schedules, presentations, relationships with contractors, engineering firms, civil, electrical, mechanical, equipment, vendors while working in an office 60% at Clean Harbors location in one of the following areas: Norwell, MA (Boston), Houston, TX, Salt Lake City, UT or Denver, CO and travel 50% to sites nationwide/Canada. Serve as Project Manager/Designer - Chemical Engineer for the facilities group
Medium to large Capital projects that drive increased revenue and/or cost savings
Projects may include owner furnished equipment and be supported by in-house labor
Perform significant design- Automated design experience including AutoCAD and ChemCAD
Manage cost estimating, and construction efforts for projects from cradle to grave
Prepare required reports, including proposal, cost estimates and work scopes, RAM plans, comprehensive scopes of work and Phase I & II reports
Act as an agent of business and is involved with developing relationships with key customers and understanding the customer issues
Provide guidance to subordinates in order to meet remedial budget expectations
Provide engineering and technical support to field service offices
Ability to provide timely, concise and relevant information to superiors and subordinates
Provide technical support for proposal preparation, project cost estimates and subcontractor selection and procurement
Enforce the policies and procedures as it relates to Health & Safety as measured by the district's health and safety record; resolves issues in timely manna
Up to 50% travel to support projects in US/Canada
Bachelor of Science degree- Chemical Engineering
12+ years previous experience in industrial/chemical engineering design and construction
50% working onsite one of the following locations: Norwell, MA (Boston), Houston, TX, Salt Lake City, UT or Denver, CO
Travel 50% travel nationwide and Canada
Must live close to airport
Significant experience in process design, project management, cost estimating and construction.
Automated design experience including AutoCAD and ChemCAD
Mass and energy balance experience
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
Microsoft Project preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) Registration preferred
Working knowledge of codes and standards including NFPA and Building codes
Working knowledge of permitting processes for building permit
Request for Proposal (RFP) bidding experience including experienced in preparing detailed process flow and P&ID designs to suit plant battery requirements

Executive presentation skills
Valid Driver's License
